Barbara Nalewko

Barbara has a master’s degree in Physical Education (Physical Education and Sports Sciences) which she graduated (1st Class Hons.) in 2006 in Poland. She has been a staff member of the University Arena, University of Limerick since then. Holding full coaching qualifications, Coach in Swimming, (class II – UNESCO) and Swimming Instructor, she uses her knowledge and experience to teach many levels from beginners to advanced swimmers. She was a member of Polish National Junior Swimming Team throughout her whole swimming career (7 years) and now uses her own experience and knowledge to help swimmers to focus on their goals and discover a new level of their performance.

Barbara was a swimming coach at the Limerick Swimming Club (3 years) and has worked closely with successive HPC-UL coaches, namely Keith Bewley, Steve Price and Ronald Claes, throughout their tenures in Limerick. These days she focuses more on Stroke Clinic. She helps many swimmers to improve their stroke, minimalize resistance in the water and use extra forces to swim faster

Swimming is not the only sport that she likes. Majority of her free time she spends on SKIKE (some would say a rollerblades with poles). Barbara and her husband Sebastian run blog where they encourage people to spend their free time in an active way. She hikes, cycles, climbs and does a bit of kayaking, loves to visit new places and admires the beauty of country sides.
